Graham, There are mentions of three COLLIES in the "Land and People of Moray" Part 12 not 19. These are all in the Parish of Drainie. James Collie - mortcloth in 1785, James Collie, in Newland, paid his horse tax in 1797, nmortcloth in 1799, William Collie was the Assistant Minister, Session Clerk 11th March 1716, Schoolmaster 6th November 1718, became minister in 1741, died in April 1768. There is one more mention of a Margaret Collie, wife of Alexander Grant who died in 1740 and was imprisoned by the Laird of Gordonstoun. HTH.
