Goldie on a rainy Saturday afternoon in Kamloops." Actually, sometimes they do just disappear! I have three McBains who just seem to have disappeared even though they were born in the 1850's and 1860's in Nova Scotia. James, William and Jessie - further, Thomas and Christian, two others born in Aberdeen and who went with their parents to Halifax in 1846 have also fallen from the Earth it seems - so it does not surprise me that someone born 100 years earlier can dsicappear - atleast until you find 'em, Goldie! Keep searching - if anyone can find them it seems you're one of the best candidates. Cam
for this compliment, I thank you Cam...but some of the holes are getting pretty deep and the dirt pile is getting even higher..YOU have NO idea of the Innes's I have amassed doing this tree. Hundreds...of course ALL related, I just have to make the dots meet..then I can connect back to 1160. There is no consistency in recording of deaths (or to be strictly accurate, recording of burials) before 1855. Some parishes did, some didn't. Even after 1855, folk do disappear - they emigrate or change their names. Even if you've only lost a John Smith who sneaked over the border to England, forget it - English death certificates don't tell you the parents of the deceased. Anne
