All this talk of Russell family has reminded me of my one and only Russell. I'm hoping that someone might be able to claim her. Margaret Russel (Russell) married William Reid. William was born 1808, St Andrews Lhanbryde. They had 3 sons Alexander b. 1835 Rothes, James b.1837 Rothes(died 1852) and William b. 1842 Alves. In the 1841 Census, William and Margaret were living in Alves with their second son James aged 4. I've never found Alexander anywhere else, so I'm assuming he had died. In the 1851 Census, Margaret is listed as being 37 yrs old ,born in Boharm ,Banff, which would give her a birth date of c. 1814. I can't find her in the IGI, or in Scotlandspeople. I've looked up Banff and Moray. In the 1861 census, William is a widower. Margaret must have died before 1855 , there is no death recorded in Scotlandspeople. So, does anyone have this Margaret in their tree, it would be nice to find her some family! Regards Jan
