This is pure specualtion, but I wonder whether 'member submitted' are the ones members have put in about their own families or families they have researched, while 'form submitted' are the results of a sort of continuation of the 'extraction' programme under another name? I do not think it is speculation. That being said, have not looked at every record in every parish. I have encountered these "form submitted" records in Inverness, Nairn, Duthill, Kilmartin, etc.; only a handful of parishes. I have reviewed the first 30 years of C111232 (Nairn, Nairnshire) and have come across a few not included in the index but I am looking at the record on film on the same page with others who were included in the index. I did word this wrong in my original post, I should have stated "form submitted by member" and "record submitted by member". I am only speaking of "form submitted by member". The mysteries........perhaps at some point I will write to the LDS for a sample copy of a "form submitted record" to see what it is all about. Thanks for replying, Anne.
