Hi. I just looked-up the name Jane on Ray H's site and it tells me that the synonym is Jean. I'm trying to find the parents of Anne Innes who married Charles Stephen on the 17 Aug.1815 in Inveravon. Anne DE tells us that her parents were John Innes and Jane Gordon. When I tried to find a family for John & Jane using the ( IGI ) ( Family Church ) and it give me the family of John Innes and Jean Gordon where their last known born was Robert Innes born 22 Oct.1769 at Chapel Christ and for the moment it is assumed that they moved elsewhere. This assumption is based on the facts that my ancestor William Innes ( confirmed ) was a tenant at Chapel Christ in 1774( Duke of Gordon records ) and it is known that he married in 1770 Elizabeth McDonald. The IGI does not list any children but there was at least 1 child named Alexander confirmed by his DE in 1861. Getting back to Anne Innes, her DE shows that she died on the 14 Dec.1864 in Tomnavoulin at the age of 86 years thus making her date of birth at <1778>. So far I have not been able to find a BE for her. Libindx NM079217 shows that Anne death was shown in the Current on the 29 Dec.1864, Page 8 Column 6. I seem to have hit a brick wall as to where Annie Innes and Charles Stephen were buried. William
