Hi Sheila, Thanks for letting me know about Jannet Rose (1833) at Urquhart to William Rose and Margt. Young. I have added her to my family tree. I did not have a record of her and would be grateful to know your source so that I can perhaps gain a little more information which my be available. Jannet does not show up in later census records as being with the family in England. Interestingly, on the same family, I have details about a Jean (Jane) Rose having been born/bapt in 1831 at Urquhart, Moray to William Rose and JeanYoung. On the face of it, it appears that two different William Roses exist here - one married to Margaret Young and the other to Jean Young. Only Jean (Jane) Rose shows up as a dau. with the family of William / Margaret Rose in the 1841 census in England. I suspect clerical errors here but the mystery remains and is inconclusive at present. I am still looking for birth/bapt. of details Samuel Rose who appears in the 1841 census (in England) as a member of the same family of William and Margaret. He shows as born in Scotland and aged 8 years making his birth years circa. 1833. Regards George
