Re my enquiry about Anna Bella McPherson. It might have been helpful if I had pointed out that she had a brother John born Edinkillie near Elgin about 1842. This brother became Baillie John McPherson and owned the former Cockburn Hotel in Edinburgh. (The building still stands). Anyone in the family or who knows of John will be aware of the issues that arose after John's death about the ownership of the hotel. Recognise this anyone? Ian Macwhirter
