    3. I need some suggestions for researching. I have been trying to find the parents of George BRODIE, b. not verified (only IGI). He married Margaret ANDERSON of Stotsfield, 26 Jul 1791, Kinnnedar Church, Lossiemouth (from Drainie Parish Records). I have the christening records of their children. Here is what I know: William BRODIE, c. 3 Dec 1792, Elgin, Moray. He married Ann GUNN 13 Feb 1829 in Forres, Moray. They are listed in Elgin in the 1841 Census. He died 1 May 1879, Elgin, Moray and is buried in the Elgin Cathedral. Margaret BRODIE, c. 19 Dec 1797, Elgin, Moray. She died 1885. It seems quite unlikely that there were only two children. There is also a James BRODIE buried in the same grave in the Elgin Cemetery. If the IGI is correct and George BRODIE was born 5 Oct 1759 in Forres, Moray, where should I look for christening records in Forres? >From the IGI it appears that his parents were Francis BRODIE and Anne ANDERSON, but i can't verify the connection. George was listed as a day laborer on the records of their children's christening. Chris Brodie Burk Albuquerque, NM
