New to list.. seeking information on Reverend SIMON GRAY b 1701 d 1776 married to JANE GORDON DUNBAR, her vitals and parentage unknown. Unconfirmed information I have indicates that Jane is a direct descendant of John Dunbar, the 2nd son of the 11th Earl of Moray in 1372. Rev. Gray was the rector of the Scottish Episcopal Church at Duffus. Rev Gray was paying ?1000 per year for his wife although information does not indicate to whom the payment was made. This is documented in the History of Moray under the Episcopal Church. There were three children: Reverend ARCHIBALD GRAY- d in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada CHRISTIAN GRAY LILIAS GRAY (my ancestor) 1757-1839.
