Is anyone else researching the family of James Stewart b.1831 in Forres Moray. Married Annabella McPherson in 1855. James died 1904. There were 9 children. Amongst them: Alexander emigrated to Tasmania - I have traced his descendents. Another was a James whose own children included a Harry Waterston Stewart, he became a dentist in Edinburgh and was killed in a car crash in 1950. I'm trying to locate his daughter Veronica Ann. Another child of James Stewart (snr) was Annabella Stewart who married Francis McWhirter from whom I am directly descended. In 1950 there was litigation over James' (snr) will and anyone associated with his family will know of this and the Great Fuss in the family. The father of the above James Stewart (snr) was possibly named Donald. I would be grateful for any lead SKS can give me about this substantial family - aside from the Tasmanian links all contact with descendents of the remaining 7 children are lost. Thanks Ian Macwhirter
