    3. I am wondering if anyone has any reference to a KERR family who is said to have worked at Gordon Castle - possibly mid -1800's. It is said John KERR b Aberdeen 1813,was the Estate Manager but we are not sure at all if this is correct, as he was a mariner from 1851 at least. The family connection to Gordon Castle may come from the BARRON side of the family. I have found another distant cousin who has a very similar story. She says an ancestor stayed with an aunt there and that she remembered the seagulls squawking and the place being quite remote. The owners of the Castle were away at the time..... Finding the facts is very difficul!!
