Hi Dave, My William had a son named William who was born in Lanarkshire c1845 and married an Ann and was a china merchant/hawker like his father. From censuses I think William Jnr and Ann had 9 children: William, Rachel, George, Robert, Adam, Annie, Jessie, Mary and Rachel between 1867 and 1889in Rothes, Nairn, Granborn and Dingwall. I have quite a bit more information on the Watsons if you think this sounds like the one you've been tracing. Let me know what you think. Granborn Are you sure that this isn't a misreading of Grantown? I am prepared to bet that there is nowhere of any significance named Granborn in this part of the world! Anne
