Fay I was interested to read of your interest in Gordon Castle. An uncle of mine , John Urquhart , worked on Gordon Castle Farm. I think he married a girl ( possibly a Dairy Maid ) in the employ of Gordon Castle . I do not know the years of employment , but I'm guessing it was the 1930's . Perhaps his boss was 'your' Robert Dawson I used to correspond with a woman in Australia whose relative worked at Gordon Castle , in the 19th century. She was a contributor to the Rootsweb Mailing Lists a few years back.
