    3. Sorry, have you been waiting for me to ask for Christmas Dinner Guests. This year the festive time seems to have come up so quickly, that it is now the big day within a matter of hours and my tree is not up yet !! I have just organised my guest list and this is how it goes :- I seem to always ask my grandad, John Riach and my grandma (who I never knew) Gladys Brayshaw Grace Rhind Duncan (phew). This year also I would invite my two uncles and aunt and my mum, mainly to recall what their childhood was like and what they did at Christmas. I would ask grandad about the tinker who wrote a poem about him when he was a child and if the stories in the lines were true. Alexander Fridge (Frigg) Riach would also be asked to partake in the day and I would ask him what was the reason for his journey to America. Now, Boxing Day, the Hay family and the Younie family would be welcome. All the relations of Ann Hay. I would ask what was their life like and so many other questions that I would have to prepare a list. For the Younie side, George Younie = Helen Riach, their children - what did they do as children? What were their jobs and why did they go in that direction ? What did you all eat at Christmas ? Was it a special day ? How long a holiday did you have and how much time from school ? So many questions, so many family members. I think I'll get the caterers in !!! Let me and the list know who you would invite this year. The same people as last year, that dosn't matter as there will be more questions that have arisen over the past 12 months. May I now close by wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy and Peaceful New Year filled with lots of family history questions solved. Best wishes to you and yours Carol List Admin
