His name was Murdoch Coe and his mother was Blanche Murdoch. Murdoch was born in 1914 in Chicago, Illinois which is where Thomas and John settled. Thomas went on to create Reid and Murdoch, a mercantile firm, which later became Consolidated Foods and now, Monarch Foods.
