Yes, thank you Anne. Ian Scott was able to review it and give me feedback. Of course, I still cannot find either Charlotte McKenzie or Rev James Donald death certificate on SP. Or, for that matter, the birth of their children but I thank you for sending me the information on the children. May I ask for your advice please? I am a member of the ANESFHS - would it be better for me to ask them to search for these death records OR would the Moray Heritage Center be in a better position to do the search? Thanks Anne. I so appreciate all your expertise and assistance in the past. You are never going to find a death certificate because there was no such thing before the start of statutory civil registration in 1855. > Or, for that matter, the birth of their children but I thank > you for sending me the information on the children. Similarly there are no birth certificates before 1855, only baptism records from the parish registers, which is what you have. > May I ask for your advice please? > I am a member of the ANESFHS - would it be better for me to > ask them to search for these death records OR would the Moray > Heritage Center be in a better position to do the search? There is no point in asking either, because these death records don't exist. Before 1855 there are only burial records, and these are at best patchy, if they exist at all. I think I have already told you that there are no burials in the St Andrews-Lhanbryd parish register, and that the ones in the Elgin Parish Register have been indexed on LIBINDX. I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news! Anne
