I found Isobel their mother living with the eldest son Robert in Petty, but she died before the 1851 cencus. I have a photo of my gt gt gt grandfather John Sinclair 1808-1897, he married Margaret Chisholm, their eldest daughter Mary Sinclair 1840-1910 married Simon Macdonald 1836-1907 and they moved to NZ, Dunedin where they died. Do you have any info or photos of the family.I believe Hugh Sincalir our common ancestor born c.1770 was a son of Robert Sinclair and Anne Rose. Robert & Anne had an elder son John born 1756 who married Flora Ferguson and had 5 children. So from Robert born 1734, he was son to John Sinclair born 1713 and Elspet McDonald, and he was son to Hugh Sinclair born 1688 and Anna Mc! Phaile, and he was son to John Sinclair and Anna Rose of Knockbain.
