We are still searching for information re/ HECTOR CRUICKSHANK, born possibly 1740s, but do not know where or his parents. Wife is Janet McDonald, who is possibly the daughter of James MacDonald and Janet McBain Janet born Oct.1741. Hector & Janet had 4 children: James born March 1767; Peter, born April 1770 ( my ggggrandfather, who went to Nova Scotia about 1788-9,); Beatrice born March 1774;, Allan, born May 1775. All the children were born "Abernathy and Kincardine, Inverness".
