    3. Thank you so much for this information. I found this reference in the book Duncan Forbes of Culloden wrote, wherein he mentions a "Johne Innes of Kirkmichael". Someone is trying to find the family in Kirkmichael....and I wondered if this Johne Innes might be his, a bit further back than he has gotten so far. Now I have you captive, do you know anything about any Innes's in the Gartly area? I have some of the info on the Huntly bunch, but I have a John Innes m 1740 Gartly parish ADB to Jean Thompson and then again 1744 to Isobel Pirie.....now I'm wondering if there are TWO John Innes's in the parish......brick wall.
