I have a John Innes married to Isabel McBain living in the Glenlivet area. I was able to find that there were at least four children: Penuel b:<1780>, Charles b: <1783>, Janet b: <1786> and Isabella b: <1788>. Their death extracts told me their ages and it was this way that I found their approximate birth dates. It would appear that John was living in Blairfindy and perhaps Beloan where his son Charles lived. Does anyone recognize this family? Were there more children? All the children were buried in the Kirkmichael cemetery except for Isabella who was buried in Rothes. William
Why was Isabella buried in Rothes, any idea? Hi Goldie. Isabella was buried with her husband, Her DE states the following: Isabella's death extract ( Death Isabella Innes 1875 ) shows that she was the widow of James Flemming, who by profession, was a teacher. She died on the 8 June 1875 at the School Terrace in Rothes at the age of 87. It is confirmed that her parents were John Innes and Isabella McBain. The informant appears to be her son George.
