This hotel is in Brighton, East Sussex, not Hampshire. I don't recognise any of the ID 11 photos. However, I clicked onto Margaret MURISON, Family ID 316. Her surname is, in fact, MORISON and this is why. Her parents were Andrew MURISON (1730-1809) and Mary HERDMAN (1740-1824). Andrew decided, for reasons best known to himself, to register all five of their children as MORISON (I have the reference). The most famous of the five children became Sir Alexander MORISON (1779-1866), who was knighted for his services in the cause of the treatment of the mentally challenged. Margaret MORISON (1770-1840) married William Gordon McCRAE (1768-1829), son of Alexander Gordon McCRAE (1745-1796) and Mary HARVIE ( ? -1770). William's sister Mary was born in 1770, which suggests Mary may have died in childbirth. Alexander then married Agnes HARVIE (sister to Mary?).
