Hello Listers, I have done a lot of genealogy on the Rumbles of Banffshire area and just recently received an email from a fellow researcher of the Rumbles family of Deskford and Cullen Banffshire. He sent me an attachment called "Roll of Honour" which he got at the heritage & genealogy fair in Elgin from the Cullen, Deskford & Portknockie Heritage Group whom have managed to create records and 'bits & Pieces' from different sources. On this roll of honour are 4 Rumbles sons of Mr. P Rumbles of Faichyhill farm at Deskford. I believe it would be Peter Rumbles who farmed at Faichyhilll in 1914-1918. I am interested in finding out more about this family and the other Rumbles Families in the area. Can you help me or at least start me in the right direction. the scottish 1911 census won't appear until the end of 2010. If the Roll of Honour is from a war memorial try the CWGC website ...it often gives details of war time casualties.
