(I) The IGI shows: JAMES LOBBAN Christening: 01 JAN 1806 Marnoch, Banff Parents: GEORGE LOBBAN ELSPET SKENE C111612. (II) George LOBBAN who died Nov 1878 Marnoch was h/o Isobel JOSS (MI in Marnoch Kirkyard). I have him down as s/o George LOBBAN & Elspet SKENE, apparently from his death registration, although I noted this such a long time ago so should be (re)verified. Isobel LOBBAN (d/o George LOBBAN & Isobel JOSS) marr Peter GEDDES in 1862; they went to Boddam where most of the family became quarry workers. A son, John GEDDES, eventually returned to Banff and set up the Monumental Sculptors 'Geddes & Walker' which is still operating today albeit under a different name. Hope this helps. Howard Geddes
