Dear Anne I noticed that you had found some more members of your GRIGOR tree thanks to the Libindx. I have a Margaret GRIIGOR in my tree who married an Arthur Siveright and wondered if there is any connection? I found her death in the Libindx in 1801 but have never managed to find any other information about her. Originally I thought her surname was Grigory. Hi Julia. This is William in Montreal. One of my ancestors Jane Innes married a John Harper whoes mother was Catherine Sivewright and she was married in Fordyce. Hope this helps. see below. Her birth extract shows that she was named Jane Innes and was born on the 8th Nov. 1861 6h. a.m. at Craighed, Glenlivet. Her father was William Innes farmer and her mother was Margaret Shaw. mariied on the 30th Sept. 1860. The informant was William Innes farmer ( William's father ) present. The birth was registered on the 26th Nov. 1861 at Tomnavoulin and that the Registrar was Murdock Beaton. On Oct.31, 2003, Alex. Gray at alexgray@htinternet.com sent me an exerpt of her death which reads as follows and also shows that she married: Death Certificate reads as follows: 1) Jane Harper ( married to John Harper, Commercial Traveller ) 2) Died 6h 30m P.M. 24 January, 1898 at 19 Great Western Place, Aberdeen 3) Female 31 years 4) Father- William Innes-Retired farmer 5) Mother-Margaret Innes, M.S.
