    3. Hello Ian; I am researching MC CONNACHIE / MC CONOCHIE / MC KONDACHIE in Banffshire. I would be very interested to know the other spellings that you have found to aid in my search. Regards, Irene in Ontario.

Take McConachie and substitute c for a k, or add a d after the n, double up the nn substitute a for an i or an o change ie to y try any combination of the above and then do it all again with Mac in front instead of Mc. Literally dozens of combinations. If you don't mind being a descendant of Fat Duncan (There isn't much PC in genealogy) try http://www.donnachaidh.com/ Ian Researching McConachies from the Bellandy farms of Mortlach, then Keith, then Meadows farm Deskford onwards, inwards and awkwards. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Irene Dunne" <irdunne@webtv.net> To: <MORAY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, March 23, 2005 8:14 PM Subject: [MORAY] Re: Mc Connachie spelling? > Hello Ian; > > I am researching MC CONNACHIE / MC CONOCHIE / MC KONDACHIE in > Banffshire.
