Howard, Thanks but they are not the family I'm after. John GEDDES is listed as a sailor (Coasting Trade) on his marriage and I have them on the 1891 Census in Aberdeen. John wasn't there presumably he was away at sea. Margaret was listed as Sailors wife. They have a son John 1yr and a daughter Georgina 8ys. Which would make her birth before their wedding in 1885. His father James is listed as a Railway servent on their marriage cert. both he and John's mother Barbara listed as deceased Margaret's parents were Alexander HENDERSON and Catherine ROSS who as far as I've found had 9 children together but never married. Although she is listed as his wife on the 1891 census but prior to that housekeeper. They lived at Lossiemouth Hopefully this might connect with someone Regards Angela
