> Can someone tell me how to go about getting a copy of the following death > record? Where exactly do I write? I found this on the libindx site. There is a link on the LIBINDX site to the online shop. Alternatively, you could go to your local LDS Family History Centre (list of these on www.familysearch.org) and arrange to borrow a copy of the Aberlour Parish Register. This way you can read through the whole thing and extract for yourself all entries which might be of interest to you. This would be cheaper than getting them all separately from Moray Heritage Centre. Note that the LDS Church reference for this parish register will not be MF A Ab1 - this is the Moray Heritage Centre's internal reference system. > Will I get any other information other than what was listed on that > reference on that site? Highly unlikely IMO. If there had been, for example, the name of a wife or child(ren), or an age at death, this would have been in the LIBINDX entry. There would also have been a mention of any gravestone, so unless there is one which has got buried and was not visible in 1978 when the graveyards were surveyed, there isn't one. (If I had thought that there was any chance of there being more information in the original entry I would have looked it up for you the last time you posted this query.) Anne
Thank you all for the information. I think I will pass on getting a copy then since it most likely won't be helpful in determining if he might be the father of my John Murray. I appreciate all the helpful information. Thanks, Kathy Wells. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Anne Burgess" <anne.listmail@btinternet.com> To: <MORAY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, April 29, 2005 3:02 AM Subject: Re: [MORAY] Sluggan >> Can someone tell me how to go about getting a copy of the following death >> record?
