    1. Introduction & Names Being Researched
    2. Hello Everyone: My name is Adrienne Inman and I live in Illinois. My husband's great grandfather was David PETERKIN MORRISON, born in Kirriemuir Aug. 6, 1828. DP Morrison's parents were David MORRISON and Ann PETERKIN. They were married in Kirriemuir on November 15, 1828. Ann was born March 19, 1803 Dyke, Moray. Her parents were James PETERKIN and Rachel GRANT. Her brothers were John, James and Alexander. One sister named Jean. The Peterkin name was used as a middle name by Ann's children. If anyone is researching PETERKIN I would love to hear from you. I do have a question. Normally when a marriage takes place it is in the bride's village/town. I was just wondering under what circumstances the marriage would take place in the groom's place of birth unless Ann's family had moved to Kirriemuir, or she was working there, or because they'd already had a child and married several months later. David Morrison was a sawyer so I suppose he could have met her in his travels. Other than my husband's great grandfather being born in Kirriemuir, the rest of her children were born in Dunnichen. If anyone has any suggestions, comments, ideas they would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
