I seem to have hit a brick wall researching my HENRY/HENDRY ancestors. James HENRY/HENDRY and his wife Ann BARCLAY and two of their daughters Ann and Mary were listed in the 1841 Census at St Andrews Lhanbryd. James HENRY Army Pensioner age 70 Not born in this Parish Ann HENRY age 55 born England Ann HENRY age 25 born England Mary HENRY age 15 born in this Parish I can't find any further trace of any of them - no marriages or deaths in Moray after 1855 - and the 1851 Census drew a blank too. James was the son of John HENDRY & Barbara HAY christened 2 Dec 1770 Rafford, Moray. He was discharged from the Royal Artillery in 1812 age 42. I have still to access his army record at Kew in the hope that it might give details of when his pension ceased to be paid. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Lorna Wallace Glasgow
