Hi George I have now had time to have a look at your thoughts on the list of Births/christenings I sent you and would not disagree with what you say as regards the probability (a strong one) of Andrew, William and George being brothers. The thought had occurred to me when I was transcribing the information and preparing the message. Since then I have had a further look at the Film and cannot find a marriage entry for George Jamieson and Margaret Ritchie although I did find the birth of their son George on 11 April 1786 and his Christening on 14th with George Badenoch and George Simpson both in Fochabers being the witnesses. I also came across the marriage entry on 17 Aug 1784 for a John Smith and Jannet Jamieson both in the Parish of Bellie who were matrimonially contracted. On 11 Nov 1775 there is an entry which shows that James Geddes and Anne Jamieson, both in the Parish, gave up their names to be proclaimed in order to marriage and were married on 28 Nov 1775. Finally, on 18 Dec 1800 there is the entry for the baptism of a child named Janet, Lawful Daughter, to John Jamieson and Elizabeth Packman, born in Bogmoor where the witnesses were Janet Simpson and John Jamieson. Don't know whether this clears the field or muddies it but as I came across this lot along the way I thought I would pass it on. Regards Ian
