    3. There is a fault in the design, Firefox / Netscape browsers don't work either. The only option is to (reluctantly) use IE I'm afraid! 3. I have an iMac with OSX and I'm using Internet Explorer and like Pearl, sadly I have had the same result. I've emailed the LibIndx website to ask for help, but haven't had a reply so far. Does anyone have a solution for Mac user other than "buy a PC"???? I would be most grateful, as it is very frustrating reading all these glowing emails about the website, when you can't see it! Help!!!!!!! Please ... Dorothy, Menangle, Australia On Monday, February 28, 2005, at 08:23 PM, Murray Lynn wrote: > There is a fault in the design, Firefox / Netscape browsers don't work > either. 1. LibIndx fault solution

    3. Unfortunately IE is very non-compliant but also very forgiving of design faults and so designers using only IE to check their code can create all sorts of errors that good compliant browsers (ie everything other than IE) hiccup on. The good news is that the coders of LibIndex have made a fairly simple fault which you can work around. What they have done is to use the "\" character instead of "/" in some of the hyperlinks. If you click on the buttons on the left of the screen you should be able to see the hyperlink address at the bottom of the screen - e.g. click on "People" to open the People options and then click on "People Search" and you will see the link is http://libindx.moray.gov.uk/people\mainfilter.asp. If you type this in as a web address remembering to change the \ before mainfilter to / first - i.e. enter http://libindx.moray.gov.uk/people/mainfilter.asp - it will take you to the correct page.
