I'm actually in Sydney, Australia, but the families I am researching NAIRN, McTAVISH, CRUICKSHANKS, DAVIDSON, BUTLER, BARCLAY, ROBERTSON all had some connection at one time to Dallas in Moray. Donald CRUICKSHANK according to his marriage record was of the Parish of Cromdale and Inverallan, and in 1834 gives his abode as Easter Crannich. However in the 1841 census he is living at Tomlea, Edinkillie and gives his birth place as outside the county (Moray), by 1851 his address is Loupmore, Ardlach, when he gives his birth place as Inverallan, Inverness shire. Sarah on the other hand also of the Parish of Cromdale and Inverallan gives her abode as Waster Limekills (hills?) and in 1841 is born outside the county (Moray). In 1851 she gives her birthplace as Daviot, Inverness shire and by 1881 she is living in Auldearn, Nairn and gives her birthplace as Moy, Inverness .
