The places you mention certainly do exist - there is a Crannach/Crannoch and two different places both called Limehillock in the Banffshire parish of Grange. But there are also Easter and Wester Limekilns and Easter and Wester Crannich in the Moray parish of Cromdale, Inverallan and Advie, a mile or two to the east of Lochindorb. Which illustrates yet again the inconvenient fact that Scottish placenames are seldom unique. Gavin Bell
