Hello list, I am hoping someone can help me identify the parents of Margaret DONALD. She was probably born between 1820 and 1823 in St Andrews Moray. This is all the information I have on her... Margaret DONALD was married to Alexander ABEL (gg grandfather) on 31 Dec 1830 in Kintore Aberdeen. Margaret and Alexander had at least 10 children born in Cluny, Aberdeen. The children's names are: Alexander b 1842 James b 1844 William b 1846 Margaret b 1848 John b 1850 (my g grandfather) Anne b 1852 Agnes b 1856 George b 1858 Grace b 1859 Harvey Williamson b 1862 Margaret had died before the 1881 census was taken. The 1851 census shows Margaret and Alexander and 5 of their children living in Nether Drumnahoy in Cluny. Margaret is age 28 and the census shows she was born in St Andrews, Moray. Subsequent census data may possibly support the birth county but I do not have the census data for 1861 and 1871. Margaret and Alexander were also living at Nether Drumnahoy in the 1841 census. Margaret is shown to be age 20 and born outside of the census county. The family search site shows a Margaret Donald christened in 1822 in Cluny but I could not find a birth/christening in Moray during this time frame. I would appreciate it if anyone has any additional information on Margaret DONALD. Thank you so much.
