    1. ROBERTSON - Merchants in Portsoy
    2. Howard Geddes
    3. I mentioned a Mr Sandy a short while ago. It seems that the following refers to him. Alexander ROBERTSON "sometime merchant in Portsoy" died 18-Nov-1790 and his executor was his only brother James ROBERTSON, who was a merchant in Dunkirk in Flanders. The Will was proved 8-Jun-1791 at Aberdeen Commissary Court. James ROBERTSON knew of, or had some other kind of connection with, Lubalmandiere and Company there [? could it be Subalmandiere & Co?] . Does anyone recognise this company? George Smith and Robert Grant are named as clerks of that company. Anyone know anything of particular trading links between Moray Firth and Dunkirk? Howard Geddes
