There used to be a grocery store on West Coates street. My grandparents (Cloyd Chenoweth and Freda Stewart) lived on West Coates, and I would walk up to that store. There also used to be one we called Mrs. Rentschler's on the other side of town. I believe it was on Promenade, but am not sure. We lived on Monroe and I went there many times as a girl.
