    3. Jacques, perhaps some observer or participant in this forum is a cousin of mine who is also a cousin of yours because it appears at least one descendant of my 5th G-grandparents married a descendant of your ancestors. I looked in Rootsweb and found Virginia Easley DeMarce has recorded an Emmett A. Sweeney (b. abt 1858) as a son of Archibald Sweeney (b. abt 1811 in KY and his name appears later in later Boone Co., MO censuses. The rootsweb database edbuchanan shows a Nancy Swinney (b. 29 Jun 1804, d. 1834 in Boone Co., MO) who married James A. Schooling. Rootsweb database lanham-smothers shows obviously this same Nancy Sweeney (b. 29 Jun 1804) married James A. Schooling in Washington, Co., KY and she died in Boone Co., MO in 1834). That same database shows Nancy’s Grandfather as Moses Sweeney (b. May 1734 in Belfast, Ireland, d. 17 Jun 1813 in Lincoln, Co., KY). The lanham-smothers database show Nancy’s brother Lindsey was married to Elizabeth Embree. Elizabeth was a daughter of Joseph and Susannah (Shackelford) Embree. Joseph was a grandson of my ancestors Thomas and Frances (Tandy) Burris who were my 5th G-grandparents. Thomas Burris’ parents were ancestors of J.C. Penney. And Frances Tandy’s Grandparents Roger and Jane (Tunstall) Quarles were ancestors of actor Steve McQueen, U.S. Congressman John Mercer Langston and poet John Mercer Langston Hughes. Hughes was born 106 years ago next Friday, Feb 1. -- Ben Hardin --- Jqs116@aol.com wrote: > Dear Friend, > Thanks for the great efforts you devote to > Moberly.
