Hello Listers, While reading the old Moberly newspapers online, I ran across an obit for Joel "Searcy" White, who was the s/o Joel "Hayden" White and Ellen Jane "Eller" Perkins. The obit mentions a wife, "Virginia", however, I had his wife as Tessie Nichols per the 1930 census and Lillian (White) Cleeton-Leathers, a 60 yrs + researcher and native Moberlyan. Did Searcy marry Virginia after Tessie's death, is Tessie a nickname for Virginia, etc.?
