My data says his name is John W. Lewis but I don't have a note as to why that initial is being used. Let me consult my original notes from Helen Boswell who has done a lot of research on this line. I'll post again when I find them. Currently I can't tie this Lewis line to the books you speak of. I've tried finding information on Joshua Davis the father of Patience Davis but haven't had much luck so far.
