I didn't find where Lillie or Charles ended up, but wherever it was, they weren't together.............. Moberly Monitor Index September 10, 1935 Mrs. Lillie Forth was granted a divorce from Elmon Forth and allowed custody of minor child, Bonnie Roy and $50 for attorney fees. **********Missouri Marriages 1805-2002 states that Elmon Forth married Mae Swearingen December 25, 1930. Moberly Monitor Index November 3, 1944 The marriage of Miss Lillie M. Forth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Swearingen, Collins Avenue to Charles J. Martin, son of Mrs. Alma Martin, Quinn Street, took place Thursday, October 26, in the office of Justice of the Peace Bruce McDonald. The couple are living in Moberly at the present. Moberly Monitor Index September 24, 1952 A wife who charged that her husband showed more affection for dogs and cats than he did for her filed for divorce Saturday in circuit court here. According to Mrs. Lillie Mae Martin's petition, Charles Joseph Martin was so fond of dogs and cats that at one time he had as many as 23 cats and 6 dogs running at large in their home. The Martins were married here October 26, 1944, her petition states, and separated last September 2. They had no children. Mrs. Martin asks for the restoration of her former name of Forth and attorney fees. She is represented by attorney Raymond L. Falzone. Mr. Martin has indicated by an appearance that he will not contest the divorce.
