Didn't find anything in 1900, 1920, 1930 census but the 1910 census shows John C. and Katie Herron in Higbee with 18 year old Albert - this could be them/him??? -----Original Message----- From: morandol-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:morandol-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of sherry@gonewestpublications.com Sent: Wednesday, July 30, 2008 10:47 AM To: morandol@rootsweb.com Subject: [MORANDOL] Herron Adoption I've been abstracting items of genealogical merit from the Huntsville Herald for a second volume of Randolph co, MO Newspaper Abstracts, and I just came upon this article, which I thought was particularly interesting. I'd love to find out of this adoptee made it to manhood. Enjoy! July 2, 1891 Pg. #2: A basket containing a baby 8 or 10 days old was left on the door step of W.T. Botts at Higbee last Thursday night. It is believed to have been the child of a couple who got off of the north bound train at that point that evening, and boarded the next train for Bloomington, IL. The child was adopted by Mrs. John Herron. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to MORANDOL-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
