Her grandmother, according to marriage records was Mary Patton who wed John Pitts in Oct 1865. Mary had 8 children when she and John wed and I am not sure if they are John's children. However, I am trying to find out what the link is to the Patton's who lived in Huntsville at that time. Do you, or anyone, have any records that might indicate slave holdings and if so will you please share.
