The GNIS shows Mt. Carmel school as abandoned and as being listed on the Prairie Hill map. It has the Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church as being at unknown longitude and latitude, but says that the church was organized on Aug. 31, 1873 in Chariton Twp, 10 miles north of Clifton Hill. Thank you, Dixie.
