Yes, it is the same Sammie. I didn't have the information about John Richard Morris and was going to ask Mother who Ruby's first husband was. However it is Ruby Towles daughter by her first marriage. Mother had told me Virginia, Ruby's daughter, was married to Sammie Shiflett and divorced. I've been trying to follow this all night and have a bit of info and a question. According to Harlan's Transcription of Marriages and Deaths for Randolph Co., MO 1854-1949, Ruby Towles married Gordon Ballew July 25, 1932, so wouldn't Sam Shiflett's first wife be Virginia Ballew? Also..........according to Sam's obit, he had 3 Shiflett children; Jeffrey, Jennifer, and Julie. How do Ryan Farthing, Trevor Wilhite, and Paige Wilhite fit into the picture.
