This cropped up again the Higbee News as a cause of death of an infant. So I looked it up (dictionary): "Cholera infantum: a disease of infants, prevailing in summer and characterized by vomiting, uncontrollable diarrhea and collapse. The predisposing cause seems to be the hot weather." I didn't find that very helpful so did a search on the Web and found this site: http://www.genealogy-quest.com/glossaries/diseases.html It lists a number of "old" terms for ailments and conditions and explains each one.
