    3. I read with interest the note from Vaughn Bushman about the Burton families. As I am currently reading the Mercer county, KY tax records on microfilm, the names of May and Ambrose Burton kind of jumped out at me, since both are on the early tax records of Mercer county. They apparently moved there with my ancestors, the Burris and Atkins families from Orange county, VA. My Atkins branch also migrated to the Howard/Randolph county area. Grandville Wisdom Atkins, my 3rd great-grandfather, was named for his maternal grandmother, Mary Wisdom Burris of Orange county, Virginia. My round-about rambling question is this. Is anyone on the list researching the Wisdom family of Orange county, Virginia, as they relate to the above mentioned group? My Mary Wisdom Burris was the daughter of John Wisdom and Anne Collins. John was the son of Francis. Is anyone else out there researching this line? I have precious little on the siblings of Mary Wisdom Burris, and would like to know where they went.
