On last Saturday night, Feb. 10, James Price, (my husband), came to my house and mistreated me in a shameful manner. H. -- & family to IA to engage in lumber business; MDM Tuesday 27 Feb 1883 Stock Seized -- Some time last fall, W. S. Campbell, sold his store at Darksville to Robert Terrill, who consolidated two stores into one. Business was dull and Mr. Terrill found it impossible to meet his obligations as they matured. He struggled along, however, until about three weeks ago, when he left his business in the hands of his clerk and departed for Texas. A young man named John Jackson at first claimed an interest in the store and said he was a partner in the business with Terrill. When the sheriff seized the stock under attachments by the creditors, it was seen that the goods would not pay the claims when Mr. Jackson declined to be considered a partner. Sheriff Ashcom now has the stock in hand and will offer it at auction on the 17th inst; MDM Saturday 3 Feb 1883
