    3. Hi Cecy Thanks for your searching the directories. I'm glad someone asked for the Terrills as that is interesting. Goldena Mounce, b. 30 Jan 1874, d. 24 May 1964, was the wife of Henry Roberts Terrill, b. 3 Dec 1868 Randolph Co., d. 16 Mar 1943. Henry was the brother of my grandmother, Anne Terrill. Goldena had a dtr. Ruth Terrill, b. 6 Sep 1896, d. 13 Jun 1989, who married Paul Stevenson, b. 19 Jan 1894, d. Sep 1975 Moberly. Ruth was unmarried in this 1932 directory; my notes say that she married late in life and had no children. My father called her "Cousin Ruth," and I remember going out to their farm as a child. "Mary E." is Mary Emma Terrill, dtr. of Henry and Goldena. She married a McBrice and lived in Alberqurque, New Mexico with sister Dorothy in later years. Brother J.M.'s obit in 1985 says she is still surviving and lists her as "Mary McBrice of Annapolis, MD." She is in Moberly HS year book, class of 1919. I don't know her husband's first name, nor anything about children. Apparently she married a little late also if she is single in 1932, as she was born abt. 1902. "Miss Dorothy" is Dorothy Terrill, dtr. of Goldena. She was b. 2 Dec 1910, d. Jan 1980 Albuquerque, NM. Brother J.M.'s obit says she was deceased when he died in 1985. I have no evidence that she ever married. "Anna Lou" is probably Anna Lou Terrill, dtr. of Vincent Calvin Terrill and Susie Reynolds, and dtr. of John Robert Terrill and Anne Roberts. I have three of Anna's report cards from Moberly Junior High School for the school year of 1931-1932. She made excellent grades. I don't know her dates, but she was b. abt. 1917. According to obit, she married a Jessup, unknown first name. The closest Anna Jessup I could find on SSDI was one who was b. 4 Jun 1915, d. 12 Feb 1995 in Junction City, Geary Co., Kansas. There was one b. 12 Feb 1920, d. 1994 in PA. "Martha" is probably Martha Terrill, b. 6 Nov 1913, d. 20 Jun 1992 Eugene, OR. She m. Orval Cable, b. 13 Sep 1903 MO, d. 12 Apr 1997 Eugene, OR. Martha was the youngest child of Goldena and H.R. Terrill. Thomas J. Terrill, b. 26 Sep 1855 Randolph Co., d. 4 Oct 1935 was married to Willie Grimes. I don't have children for them, and would like to get this if anyone has it. Thomas was the son of James Terrill and Elizabeth Ann Crisler. Vincent Calvin Terrill was b. 12 Apr 1870/1871, Randolph Co., d. Jan 1966. He m. Susie Reynolds and had dtr. Anna Lou Terrill, listed above. His maiden sister, Elizabeth Ellen, lived with him the last 25 years of her life. His brother, Robert Greene Terrill, also lived with him when he separated from his wife. Owned shoe store with his brother Henry. He went by "Vint". His name is in the 1922 Moberly HS yearbook Alumni section as having graduated in 1890. The Winfred H. Terrill and wife Laura are unknown to me. Since he is listed as Black in the 1940 directory, this may why I don't have him. The 1940 listing for a Henry Roberts Jr. and wife Beatrice is a puzzle for me. I thought that I had all of Henry Roberts Terrill's children, and didn't have this one. If anyone has a copy of his biography in the "History of Randolph Co., Missouri" 1920, p. 262, maybe they could check it for me to see if Jr. is listed as a son. I think the others listed in 1940 are a repeat of the above. Thanks for that very interesting post, Cecy. Incidentally, I have a very nice picture of John Robert Terrill (1829-1911) on my Terrill genealogy page on my home site below. Just click on "scrapbook" next to his name to see it. Concerning the inquiry, I have a Willis J. Terrill, b. 3 Nov 1867, d. 18 Nov 1949. I have nothing on him, no spouse, no children. I do not have the Erastus name for him. Dates are from tombstone in Oakland Cem., Moberly, Missouri. I am not certain of his parents, but have him under Rev. Joshua Willis Terrill and Matilda Ann Walton, due to his placement in the cemetery. I do not have an Erastus Terrill in my database.
