    3. Well listers... Due to the prodding of several folks from a variety of lists... I will do lookups on the final settlement and inventory records for a flat rate of $25. If you want me to copy and return the pages to you, please send a self-addressed stamped legal sized envelope to: Traci Wilson-Kleekamp 4527 E. De Ora Way Long Beach, CA 90815 I have been collecting a number of items on slaveowning families Morgan and Cooper in particular so if I find other things that belong to your line... I'll be sure to let you know. I presently have the entire index for one roll of final settlement and inventories copied... so if I get several requests over the weekend, I should be able to turn them around fairly quickly. Just so you know... and I hope others will do the same... here are some items I have to do lookups... If you are mailing a request... I am happy to check these documents for you. Please list your names and dates specifically. If there is guess work... I won't be able to assist you... it takes too much time to guess. So please give as much information as possible. In order for me to continue understand and look for slaves in the families of Central MO... lookups are an excellent a way for me to learn the family trees and connections. These are some of the resources I have. Due to copyright laws, I can not copy these pages... but I can do look ups and let you know what I find. Again, I encourage you all to share the resources you purchase. I benefited from a good number of very kind people on the Missouri lists. Morgan Co. Just a reminder... I am searching for CHISM, TUTT, HOWARD, WILSON, MCCLANAHAN, ROSS, CHILTON, ROGERS, BLACKWELL, SMILEY, INGRAM, HUTCHINSON, INGLISH... if you come across any slave related documents, please let me know. Thanks to Anne Silar... I now have a probate record for Jacob Chism. He bequeated by gggreat grandmother Mary Ann Howard -- to his daughter Elizabeth Chism --wife of Lot Howard. Much to my chagrin...it appears that Mary Ann's mother and other slaves were to be sold [according to the will and probate] and their worth divided among several family members. Now I need to find a auction notice for slaves sold at the courthouse for the estate of Jacob Chism. I'm wondering who bought the slaves from his estate... family members or other local folks. Confusing? Yup it is... thanks again Anne and Carolyn!!
