Hi Can anyone tell me if there is a Salem or Old Salem Cemetery in Randolph county-Possibly just over the border from Middlefork Tshp in Macon County Missouri? I have several Harris and Cox ancestors that are said to be buried and/or attended a Church at "Salem Camp Ground"(Possibly Presbyterian?) in Randolph County Missouri. I would welcome any information and who to contact for burial records- tombstone transcriptions etc would also be appreciated!! Thank you for your time and help!!!!!! Tom Cooper Stuart, Iowa

Hi Mary: There is a Mt. Salem Cemetery and Church located in Randolph County southwest of Moberly, Mo. Take County highway "A" from U.S. 63 south toward Higbee and exit to the right at highway "BB" for about 4 miles. The church is near the junction of BB and D which were both just country gravel roads the last time I was there. There could also be a Salem church and cemetery at a location north of Moberly near the Macon County Line. The Randolph County Historical Society located on N. Clark Street in Moberly should be able to give you this information. Lou Myers
